What really changes when a student steps out of campus and into the corporate world? Is it just the environment, or the mindset, expectations, and responsibilities too? These reflections shaped the recent industrial visit interaction with students from St. John’s College, Palayamkottai. The session focused on helping students understand how the transition from campus to corporate requires more than academic knowledge; it demands professional awareness, adaptability, and clarity about career direction.
Bushra SN, Brand Development Executive cum Corporate Trainer, led the interaction by explaining how organizations function, how teams collaborate, and how workplace culture influences performance. The discussion gradually moved into industry expectations, communication standards, and the adaptability required in modern workspaces where change is constant and learning never stops.
Students began to realise that corporate readiness is not built overnight. It develops through mindset shifts, exposure to real industry environments, and the willingness to learn beyond textbooks. Questions around professional behaviour, decision-making, and career preparedness made the session more interactive and meaningful.
The interaction helped students reflect on their own strengths and areas of improvement while understanding what employers truly look for beyond degrees. It also highlighted how continuous skill development and awareness play a vital role in shaping a sustainable career path.
The session ultimately served as a meaningful bridge between academic life and professional reality, reflecting the industry-focused initiatives facilitated through Team Inspire by Srishti Innovative.
